The Department of Social Work organized “Varna 2K26,” a National Level Tribal Cultural Fest on 13 February 2026. The programme was conducted to celebrate tribal heritage, traditions, and indigenous knowledge systems, while promoting inclusivity and cultural diversity.

The event was graced by Daya Bai, renowned Indian social activist known for her extensive work among tribal communities in Kerala, who attended as the Chief Guest. Her presence added significance to the occasion and inspired students to engage more deeply with social issues and community service.

The fest featured vibrant cultural performances by Mannalar artists, showcasing the richness of tribal art and traditions. A special screening of a film based on the life and social interventions of Daya Bai was also held, offering valuable insights into her contributions to society.

“Varna 2K26” served as a meaningful platform for cultural exchange, social awareness, and academic engagement, reinforcing the importance of preserving indigenous heritage and promoting social responsibility among students.
